The label is the face of the product: a defect on it damages the brand and can breach regulations. An automatic label inspector checks every container in-line, and when the inspection is 360° it covers the whole way around the product —label, back label and coding— with no blind spots. Here’s how a 360 label inspection system works and what AIS REV 360 brings.
What a label inspector is
It is a machine vision system that verifies, unit by unit, that the label is present, well positioned, free of wrinkles and bubbles, correctly aligned and with the right design and data. It also reads and validates codes, batches and dates, guaranteeing traceability.
Why 360 inspection
On cylindrical containers (bottles, cans, vials) a single fixed camera only sees one face. A 360 label inspection captures the entire product surface by rotating it or with multiple cameras, so no label, seam or code goes unchecked. It’s the difference between inspecting a sample of the label and verifying the whole container.
What a label inspection system checks
A 360 label inspector detects: label presence or absence, position and alignment, wrinkles and bubbles, wrong reference, and legibility of barcodes and variable text. Every defective unit is rejected automatically before it leaves the line.
AIS REV 360: 360° label inspection
AIS REV 360 is our 360° label inspection system: it verifies label and back label, checks the coding and separates defective containers, integrating with your packaging line and reject system. A single machine to make sure every product ships perfect.
