AIS Vision Systems partners with Groupe BVP France (Techlab Industrie) in the French market

AIS Vision Systems announces a collaboration agreement with Groupe BVP France and its subsidiary Techlab Industrie to jointly develop machine vision inspection of labels and packaging in the French market. The agreement brings together three complementary trades from a single chain: designing and printing the label, the machine that applies it, and the vision system that verifies it is correct.

A complete label chain, from design to inspection

Groupe BVP France supports its customers across all of their labelling projects through three entities: Creacio for design and communication, BVP for label printing, and Techlab Industrie for labelling equipment.

AIS Vision Systems contributes the piece that closes the loop: automated quality control. A label can be perfectly designed and perfectly printed and still come off the line skewed, misaligned, unreadable or applied to the wrong product. That is exactly what machine vision catches — across 100 % of production and at line speed.

Techlab Industrie: 25 years of labelling and marking machinery

Based in Fabrègues, near Montpellier, Techlab Industrie has been designing in France and manufacturing in Europe for over 25 years, with solutions for labelling, marking, filling, capping and quality control:

  • Automatic and semi-automatic labellers, linear and rotary, plus modular application heads
  • Precision filling systems for liquids and powders
  • Laser marking (CO₂, industrial fibre, UV) and inkjet marking
  • Metal detectors, X-ray inspection and checkweighing

Its machines are built in AISI 304/316 stainless steel, meet HACCP, IFS and CE requirements, reach throughputs of up to 9,000 products/hour and are backed by service in under 48 h. They serve food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, automotive, general industry, wine and drinks, and logistics and e-commerce — precisely the sectors where a labelling error is most expensive.

What AIS Vision Systems brings to the line

AIS Vision Systems, the machine vision company of the AIS Group based in Sabadell (Barcelona), has been integrating industrial inspection systems into production lines for years. The solutions most directly related to this agreement are:

  • AIS REV 360 — the 360° label inspector: it checks the label all the way around the product, covering presence, position, orientation and print integrity.
  • GVD inspection software — the inspection platform that compares what is produced against the reference artwork.
  • Proofreading platform — automated proofreading of text, legal mentions and language variants before and during production.
  • Code verification — standards-based quality grading of barcodes and DataMatrix, inline or offline.
  • Code reading — unit-level traceability and reliable reading even on difficult substrates.

Why this agreement makes sense for French manufacturers

For a manufacturer the issue is never “the label” on its own: it is finished-product compliance. A missing mandatory statement, an unreadable batch number, a non-compliant barcode or a label applied to the wrong SKU can trigger a product recall, a customer claim or a hold at retail.

By combining the labelling expertise of Groupe BVP France and Techlab Industrie with the machine vision expertise of AIS Vision Systems, French manufacturers get a coherent point of contact across the whole chain: design the label, print it, apply it at the right speed — and automatically verify that the result is compliant, unit by unit.

This complementarity matters most in food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, where traceability and labelling are tightly regulated and where 100 % inspection is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

What happens next

The teams are already working together on integration projects where vision inspection complements existing labelling and marking lines. If you run a packaging line in France and want to assess what 100 % inspection would add to your quality, get in touch — we will look at your case together with our partners.
